half cord cost is $55.00. We accept credit and debit cards by
arrangement prior to delivery. Yes, we are always open to the barter

Last year we traded firewood
for two horses, a cow and a chainsaw.
- Your satisfaction is guaranteed! If at time of delivery you are not 100% satisfied with the wood that we deliver, we will re-load the delivered firewood and you will owe nothing.
- We ALWAYS load at least 3%
and more often than not 5+% extra that you don't pay
for. This is to account for load settling
in transport.
- Yes! We stack the wood we deliver, however, wood that must be
stacked in a basement or building may (or may not) incur additional charges.
- We can custom cut the wood that you order
to the length(s) that you specify. We can spit wood up to 23.5"
in length. Minimum
order is one half cord.
- We can normally deliver within forty-eight to ninety-six hours of receiving your order. For the mutual protection of both parties, we do ask that the buyer or the buyer's authorized agent be present at time of delivery.
- We fill word orders all year, not just in Winter and Fall months.
- Emergency
Orders/Immediate Delivery: On the rare occasions
that a customer finds themselves out of wood because their
wood was stolen or they simply forgot to order, we do offer
24/7 Emergency Delivery. We keep one trailer loaded
with a half cord + of 21" wood at all
times. Simply put,
this service is expensive as we have to call people in to
make a special/emergency immediate delivery, and, we do of
course have to compensate our people for getting out of
bed and getting out in the cold and snow/ice with no prior
notice. Please
figure on a minimum charge of $100.00 for this service;
with a maximum of $125.00 in Dent County - other areas are
subject to normal delivery charges in addition to the
above.
- We reserve the right to decline orders or postpone deliveries for safety reasons; e.g, icy roads, white-out conditions, etc.
- Our delivery
agents are permitted to accept tips and refreshments, but
feel in no way obligated to tip or provided anything else
to our delivery personnel.

- Within Dent County, Missouri, there is no additional charge.
- Distances greater than 15 miles and outside of Dent County, MO, but less than 30 miles from Salem, Missouri are charged a delivery fee of $10.00.
- Rolla and St. James
delivery have a flat delivery fee of $25.00.
What is a full legal cord?
The below information was
obtained from the University of Missouri Extension.
Cord wood is irregular chunk fuel and may be somewhat difficult to handle and measure. The only legal fuel wood measure in Missouri is the cord — 128 cubic feet of wood tightly and closely stacked. Firewood is often sold by a vaguely defined measure rather than a clearly defined volume understood by both buyer and seller. For example, a seller may sell his wood by the pickup load, rick, rank or face cord. But these measures are inadequate because they can vary by definition from one location to another. Wood delivered to the buyer should be stacked as prescribed above and "measured" by the buyer before it is dumped at the delivery site.

measurable so "cords" can be determined.The cords in any rectangular pile can be calculated by measuring the length (L), width (W) and height (H) in feet and using the following formula:
For example, a rectangular pile 10 feet long by 3 feet wide by 4-3/4 feet high will contain 1.1 cords.
